Narration

I’m pleased to introduce a very special guest to Wonders of Wyoming:  Wyoming’s Senator Craig Thomas.

Eric, you are part of a wonderful coalition which has a very important mission – working with the folks who own small acreages like these. Many of these folks are new to the responsibilities of managing land.  And there is a delicate balance in sustaining the beauty and integrity of these fragile landscapes.

That is why helping to recreate a “culture of stewardship” is so important. It is great to see so many organizations band together, contributing energy and resources to teach and promote sustainable land management practices.

If you haven’t seen the Barnyards to Backyards magazine, you need to get it!  Each quarterly issue is full of great information for small land managers. The Barnyards to Backyards website also will also let you know when are (and) where to find educational workshops the partners organize. You could get a visit from an intern whose job is to learn your information (resource) needs and how to get information to you. And pay special attention to these Wonders of Wyoming segments, each bringing you special bits of information that you will find useful.

From the United States Senate, I’m Craig Thomas. And the University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service, I’m Eric Peterson.
